Description

Nalia De'Arnise, human Mage/Thief (although her thief levels are hardly worthwhile) from the game Bladur's Gate 2, relaxing at home dressed in full wizard gear.

An Amnish noble, it seems that in the past Nalia's family had been involved in cruel practices such as slavery and torture. Nalia feels very guilty about all this and does all she can to help the poorer people in Amn. As a younger girl, she would sneak out of her castle to mingle with common folk offering aid to them when she could. At some point she started learning magic (maybe traditional for the women in her family, while the men learn how to fight).

She enlists the aid of the Player Character and their group after her castle is overrun by trolls.

Somehow she was the most "useless" character in BG II, she was a mage with little thieving abilities, Jan was better than her as both a mage and thief (and he could level up to have pretty good all-around thief skills), she wasn't a specialist mage, and so she really just hung around long enough for her quests to be done. Oh, and Imoen's pretty much the same, except even her thief abilities are better, plus she gets her spawn-of-Murder abilities... So Nalia was always the "fifth wheel".
